A real garden you can play.
Virtual Micro Gardening started with a simple idea: most garden games are make-believe, but a real garden changes every day. The weather arrives, grass grows, flowers open and wildlife drops in. We point a webcam at a small UK garden and turn looking after it into a game you can play from anywhere.
You choose what your plot needs, such as watering, weeding, pruning or feeding. You earn points and streaks for caring for it regularly, and the site suggests jobs when the camera spots something, like heavy rain or a storm. The most popular choices are carried out in the real garden by our gardener, so the community shapes what you see on the camera.

To give people without a garden, or without the time, a small daily connection with nature. It's also a hands-on way to learn how weather, seasons and pollinators shape a garden.

Anyone aged 13 or over who enjoys slow, check-in games: students, casual gamers, school eco-clubs and people who love gardens but live in a flat.
